Penstowe Park is ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday. All the lodges are owned privately and many accept dogs.
Penstowe Park is in the village of Kilkhampton on the rugged north coast of Cornwall and six miles from Bude.
Kilkhampton has a Co-op, two convenience stores, two pubs, a pizzeria, chippy and Chinese take away.
Bude is a charming town with many independent stores, a Morrisons, Lidl, Sainsburys and Co-op plus restaurants and banks.
Sandymouth, Bude and Widemouth are all a short drive away with long sandy beaches, rock pools, and surfing with life guards in season.
Within an easy drive there are National Trust places, Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Hartland Abbey, Clovelly, Port Isaac (home of Doc Martin) Boscastle, Tintagel (King Arthur’s castle) and Padstowe,
For families with children there is the Big Sheep, the Gnome Reserve, Camel Creek Adventure Park, Trethorne Leisure Park and the Milky Way.
For the energetic and sporty there are miles of coastal path to walk, Dartmoor and Exmoor. There are golf courses at Bude, Launceston and Holsworthy. You can cycle the Camel Trail and sail and fish on the Tamar Lakes. Why go anywhere else?
